The Fort, in a groundbreaking collaboration with the city of Fort Lauderdale, announces the construction of the world's first dedicated pickleball stadium, set to enhance the city's vibrant sports landscape. This innovative facility, located near Fort Lauderdale International Airport within Snyder Park, is poised to become a premier destination for pickleball enthusiasts and sports fans alike.

Encompassing an expansive area, The Fort will feature 43 professional pickleball courts, including 14 weatherproof options, ensuring uninterrupted play regardless of weather conditions. The centerpiece of this state-of-the-art venue is a 4,000 sq. ft. event space, designed to host a variety of events and tournaments, further elevating the profile of this rapidly growing sport.

Fort Lauderdale Mayor Dean Trantalis has expressed his excitement about this public-private partnership. "This initiative aligns seamlessly with our city's mission to offer world-class facilities for both residents and visitors," said Mayor Trantalis. "The Fort is a testament to our commitment to being a top-tier destination for sports and entertainment."

The Fort promises to be more than just a sports venue. Visitors can expect an immersive experience complete with live music, a selection of food and beverages, and a vibrant atmosphere that reflects the energetic spirit of pickleball. This unique combination of sports and entertainment positions The Fort as a pioneer in offering a comprehensive leisure experience.

The project is anticipated to make a significant economic impact, creating over 100 jobs and contributing to the city's growth and development.

The grand opening of The Fort is eagerly awaited in 2024, promising to offer an unparalleled experience for players and spectators, and cementing Fort Lauderdale's status as a key player in the global sports arena.
